About Bee-Licious Honey: Our Sweet Story
Bee-Licious Honey is a family-owned honey company based in Portland, Oregon, founded by beekeepers Jeff Garner and Jennifer Lytle. Since 2011, we have shared our passion for bees through raw Oregon honey, rare international honeys, honey education, and unique bee products from around the world.
Our journey began with two backyard hives in Cedar Mill, Oregon. Within our first year, we harvested a small amount of precious Cedar Mill honey, and we were hooked. We joined a local beekeeper’s club to continue learning from other beekeepers, sharing experiences, and growing our knowledge of honeybees.
A few years later, a fellow beekeeper reached out looking for someone to continue their honey business. That opportunity helped turn our passion into what Bee-Licious Honey is today.
Ever since, our mission has been to share exceptional honey while helping others understand the incredible work of honeybees and the challenges pollinators face.
Today, Bee-Licious Honey offers carefully selected artisanal honeys from Oregon and around the world, including rare varietal honeys and unique products from the hive. Every honey has a story, and we love sharing those stories through our Honey House, guided honey tastings, pollinator garden tours, and educational events.
Over the years, education has become an important part of Bee-Licious Honey. Through Honey House tastings, pollinator garden tours, educational articles, public presentations, and our continuous exploration of specialty honeys, we enjoy helping people better understand the remarkable stories behind every honey we share.

Jeff Garner
Did you know that a single honeybee produces only about 1/12 teaspoon of honey during her lifetime? Jeff believes that understanding facts like these helps people develop a greater appreciation for honeybees, beekeeping, and honey itself. That passion for education continues to shape Bee-Licious Honey’s mission today.
Jeff is the co-owner of Bee-Licious and a true aficionado of all things bees and honey. Jeff comes from a family of salesman (his great grandparents started Honeyman Hardware Company) and since 2011 has dedicated his life to the art of beekeeping and the appreciation of bees and honey.
Jeff operates as a backyard beekeeper, has run Bee-Licious Honey for over a decade. He has completed level one of the Sensory Analysis of Honey Course with the Italian National Register of Experts. Jeff has completed Level One and Level Two of the Sensory Analysis of Honey course through the Italian National Register of Experts as part of his continued education toward becoming a Honey Sommelier.
As Bee-Licious Honey continues to grow, Jeff’s goal remains the same, to source the finest honeys worldwide and share these treasures with others, all while emphasizing the importance of backyard beekeeping and leaving the big-time beekeeping to commercial operations. His passion is not just about selling honey; it’s about fostering a deep appreciation for the rarity and fragility of honey, one of nature’s most remarkable creations.
Jennifer Lytle
Jennifer Lytle has always been drawn to nature, so taking a beginning beekeeping course in 2011 felt like a natural next step. What started as a curiosity quickly grew into a lasting appreciation for honeybees, beekeeping, and the incredible diversity of honey.
As co-owner of Bee-Licious Honey, Jennifer is passionate about sourcing exceptional specialty honeys while promoting sustainability and pollinator education. She is a certified Oregon Master Recycler and is creating a pollinator garden that reflects her commitment to protecting bees and supporting healthy ecosystems.
Over the years, Jennifer’s interest in honey has expanded far beyond the hive. She enjoys exploring the stories, origins, and unique characteristics of specialty honeys from around the world and sharing what she learns through Bee-Licious Honey’s educational articles, Honey House tastings, public presentations, and her forthcoming book on Tualang honey. She believes every honey has a story and enjoys helping others discover what makes each one unique.
