Honey Tasting Experience

Sunday, July 12, 2026 – 1:30pm to 3:00pm

Part of the Adult Summer Library Challenge

Join longtime beekeepers and pollinator gardening enthusiasts, Jeff Garner and Jennifer Lytle, co-owners and operaters of Bee-Licious Honey, who are passionate about helping people discover the art and science of tasting and evaluating honey and learning about our pollinators. Jeff is currently training to become a certified Honey Sommelier, following in the footsteps of renowned experts such as Marina Marchese. He has completed a honey sensory course and the second of three certification courses toward the Honey Sommelier title.

What’s Included in the Experience?

• Learn how to taste honey like a sommelier using aroma, texture, and flavor evaluation
• Explore honey flavor profiles ranging from floral and fruity to earthy and nutty
• Learn about terroir and how geography, flowers, and climate influence flavor
• Interactive tasting activities and engaging group discussion
• Educational insights into bees, pollination, and the fascinating world of honey

Bee-Licious Honey is a family-run Oregon honey business specializing in raw, varietal, and specialty honeys while promoting pollinator education and honey appreciation.
