Have you heard of Jarrah honey?
A customer’s question prompted Jeff and me to look into this Western Australian honey, and we decided to add Koora Jarrah TA35+ to our selection.
Jarrah comes primarily from the nectar of Jarrah trees, a eucalyptus native to southwestern Western Australia. Koora’s honey has a smooth texture, caramel-like notes, and independently tested TA35+ antibacterial activity.
I’ve written a new blog explaining what that rating means and sharing some of the research behind this honey.
Find the Jarrah honey guide link in the comments. Available online and at our Honey House.

Yesterday Jeff and I headed over to Portland Bee Balm for a honey tasting and a little bee education with their team.
If you haven’t tried Portland Bee Balm, check them out. They make awesome beeswax lip balms right here in Portland, and we loved getting to spend some time with the people behind the products.
We tasted some pretty different honeys, talked about bees, honey, beeswax and pollinators, and of course I brought snacks.
Then this review showed up this morning. Thank you Rachel, and thank you to the whole Portland Bee Balm team for having us. We had a great time too!
We love doing events like this for businesses and groups. If you’re looking for something a little different for your team, we bring the honey tasting and bee education to you.#portlandoregon #portlandbeebalm #beeeducation #beelicioushoney
Turkish Deli Bal is one of those honeys that people come back looking for. It comes from the nectar of rhododendron flowers growing in Turkey’s Black Sea region and naturally contains compounds called grayanotoxins, which are what give traditional “mad honey” its unusual characteristics.
We love hearing from returning customers, and the comment about personalized service especially means a lot to Jeff and me. When you order from Bee-Licious, there really are people on the other end who know these honeys and care about the people buying them.
Available in 250 g and 1000 g jars.
Have you tried Turkish Deli Bal before?
