Sweet Honey-Glazed Pork with Fresh Veggies

Ingredients

For the Pork:

  • 2 bone-in pork steaks
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ⅛ tsp salt

 

For the Veggies:

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Prepare the Sweet Honey Glaze:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt.

Marinate the Pork Steaks:

  1. Place the pork steaks in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag.
  2. Pour the honey glaze over the pork steaks, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Grill the Pork Steaks:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the pork steaks from the marinade, letting the excess drip off.
  3. Grill the pork steaks for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the glaze caramelizes.
  4. Allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Prepare the Salad:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, and lettuce.
  2. Add olive oil and lemon juice.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve:

  1. Serve the grilled pork steaks with the fresh veggies on the side.
